Shoojit Sircar has collaborated with none other than Shah Rukh Khan, and before you jump to conclusions, it’s not for a film—it’s for an advertisement! The director is thrilled about this latest project.
He shared, “Filming with SRK is always a pleasure. We had fun. He looked fabulous and absolutely fit. He didn’t leave the set for almost eight hours. We shot it in one stretch. I told him I had the opportunity to release one of his coffee table book in Kolkata. He was very happy, and we spoke about it."

A photo from the set, which recently surfaced online, features Shah Rukh Khan in an apron, standing in a kitchen. This led to speculation about a potential film collaboration between the actor and Shoojit. However, a report from Mid-Day clarified that while Shah Rukh’s look was quite distinctive—prompting rumours of a look test for a new film—the duo actually came together for a cookie commercial, which has a charming slice-of-life theme.
In other news, Shah Rukh Khan recently rented two luxurious duplex apartments in Pali Hills, Khar West, on a three-year lease. These properties belong to the Bhagnani family, with one apartment, owned by Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, leased to Shah Rukh for Rs 11.54 lakh per month, alongside a security deposit of Rs 32.97 lakh. The second apartment, owned by producer Vashu Bhagnani, is rented at Rs 12.61 lakh per month, requiring a Rs 36 lakh deposit.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand are set to join forces once again for their next ambitious project, King. They worked together in the 2023 film ‘Pathaan’. In King, Shah Rukh Khan takes on the titular role, with Suhana Khan playing a key character and Abhishek Bachchan stepping into the antagonist’s shoes. It is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix.
