Ahead of the start of the 2025 edition of the cash-rich league, here's a look at the top performers and record holders in Indian Premier League history.

The 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to be played from March 22 to May 25. A total of 10 teams will face each other in 74 matches which will be played across 13 venues to win the top prize. Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders will start as favourites to win the top prize once again, along with the likes of five-time champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. This year the tournament is set to see an intense battle between all the 10 teams who, after adding new players to their ranks in the mega auction last year, are ready to compete for the big prize.
