Ashutosh then got down on his knee for the gesture, acknowledging Pietersen.
After his gesture, Ashutosh waved towards the crowd while the DC camp celebrated the win.
Pietersen himself was on cloud nine after witnessing an IPL classic. He could be seen hugging one of the staff members while the crowd roared loudly. Towards the clip’s end, Ashutosh was seen catching up with Pietersen on the sidelines.

DC’s chances of winning the game looked bleak when they were reduced to 7/3 in only the second over. A 31-ball 66 from Ashutosh Sharma, however, ensured his side completed the chase with a wicket and three balls to spare.
After the match, Ashutosh revealed how he placed a ‘lot of belief’ in himself during his innings.
“I learned from the last year because there were a few games where I couldn’t finish the game, so I have been focusing on finishing games, even in domestic cricket," he said.
“I have a lot of belief in myself that if I play till the last over and the last ball, anything can happen. You just have to stay calm, believe, and think about what shots you can play that you have practised, so that’s what I did today," he added.
DC are scheduled to play SRH in their next IPL 2025 fixture. That match will also be held at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
