Gujarat Giants’ medium pacer Kashvee Gautam was seen interacting with her idol and star India all-rounder Hardik Pandya, a heartfelt video of which has gone viral on social media.
Pandya, who leads the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, was present at the Women’s Premier League Eliminator between MI and GG at the Brabourne Stadium with his teammates.

‘Big fan, Sir’, Kashvee said on meeting Pandya. ‘Sab badhiya?" the latter asked. “Ji haan bahut badhiya," Kashvi replied. Watch the video here:
“Kaisa raha season?," Pandya asked. ‘Bahut acha thha," Kashvee replied. Meanwhile, Harleen Deol walked in and greeted the star India all-rounder before revealing that Kashvee is a huge fan of Pandya and keeps imitating him.
“Tum batting bhi karti ho?" Pandya asked. “Haan, batting bhi karti hu", the youngster replied. “HP33 likhwaya hai bat pe," Deol quipped, leaving the star India all-rounder with a huge smile on his face.
“Kaunse weight wala bat use karti ho?", Pandya asked. “1100," Kashvee replied. “Main shred karke bhijwata hu. Nice to meet you. Good luck", the star India all-rounder said.
The interaction left Kashvee gushing and she got a bear hug from her teammates as well after the heartfelt moment.
Meanwhile, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Hayley Matthews carried the Mumbai Indians to their second Women’s Premier League final as their power-packed innings laid the cornerstone for the team’s 47-run victory over Gujarat.
After a rather sedate powerplay, Sciver-Brunt (77 off 41) and Matthews (77 off 50) displayed brute force to fire the Mumbai Indians to a daunting 213/4.
Mumbai Indians captain Harmanpreet Kaur (36 off 12) provided the finishing touches with a crisp cameo.
After an ordinary show in the field and with the ball, the Giants were in self-destructing mode in the chase, with three run-outs being an indicator of that.
Their innings ended at 166 all out in the final over with Matthews chipping in with the ball as well, striking twice.
It was the Mumbai Indians’ seventh straight victory over Gujarat in the Women’s Premier League history. MI will now play the Delhi Capitals in the final on Saturday, March 15.
