The Himachal Pradesh Board Exam 2025 has been postponed for classes 8 to 12 due to heavy snowfall. Examinations in several areas, including Pangi in the Chamba district and Keylong and Udaipur in the Lahaul-Spiti district, have been particularly affected. The exams which were scheduled for March 4 to 8 have been deferred.
The adverse weather conditions have disrupted the transportation of essential exam materials, including question papers and answer sheets, to these remote locations. As a result, the first three examinations have been postponed in dozens of centres.

The School Education Board plans to hold special examinations in April for the affected regions, weather permitting. Examination schedules for areas that have received exam materials remain unchanged. The revised schedule will be announced in due course of time.
HP Board Exam 2025: Which Exams Have Been Postponed?
“It is notified that due to heavy rain and snowfall in the state, district Chamba. In view of the students’ interest, there has been extensive damage to roads and paths in Pangi and district Lahaul and Spiti. Keeping this in mind, the Board has decided to conduct the following examinations in these areas…," reads the official notice.
The exams which have been deferred due to bad weather conditions include:

Last year too, the board faced similar weather-related disruptions, leading to exam postponements.
The HP board class 10 and 12 examinations are being held in a single shift from 8.45 am to 12 pm. For class 12, the fine arts subjects are held till 10 am.
