Prasar Bharati Launches ‘Kumbhvani’ FM Channel Dedicated to Maha Kumbh

Public broadcaster Prasar Bharati’s radio division, Akashvani, has launched ‘Kumbhvani,’ an FM channel dedicated to broadcasting Maha Kumbh 2025-related information. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the FM channel at the Circuit House in Prayagraj on the second day of his visit to the city ahead of the religious gathering. The station, which broadcasts at 103.5 MHz, will be on air from January 10 to February 26, operating daily from 5:55 AM to 10:05 PM. This special FM channel, Kumbhvani, was started considering the challenges of reaching remote areas with limited connectivity in 2013, 2019, and now again in 2025.

Golden Globes 2025: ‘All We Imagine As Light’ Didn’t Win An Award

The 82nd Golden Globe was held in Los Angeles and broadcast live from its usual home at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on January 5, 2025. India’s All We Imagine as Light was nominated for Best Motion Picture in a Non-English Language and Best Director (Motion Picture) at this year’s Golden Globe. However, it missed bringing the trophy home. This year, Emilia Pérez emerged as one of the biggest winners at the awards. It not only won Best Motion Picture (Non-English Language) but is triumphed in the the Best Original Song (Motion Picture) category and ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture.’

Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) is observed in India once every two years. Also known as NRI Day, the occasion aims to recognise and honour the contributions of Indians living overseas. The Vande Bharat chaircar train is all set to begin its all-weather journey to Kashmir shortly. Ahead of the journey, heating elements in windscreens, heated plumbing pipelines, silicon heating pads in water and bio-toilet tanks, and heaters in Indian toilets have been installed. These upgrades are made to ensure smooth operations even in sub-zero temperatures. The launch of broad gauge train services in the Kashmir Valley with the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) section marks a new era of connectivity in the area.
