'Yashu Yashu' Fame Pastor Bajinder Singh Found Guilty In Sexual Harassment Case, Sentencing On April 1
Pastor Bajinder Singh has been convicted of sexually assaulting a 35-year-old woman with the Mohali court set to announce his sentence on April 1, 2025.

Bajinder Singh, pastor of a church in Punjab’s Jalandhar district, was on Friday convicted in the sexual assault case of a 35-year-old woman, with a Mohali court set to announce his sentence on April 1, 2025. Singh (42), was booked on charges of sexual harassment based on the woman’s complaint in April 2018. He was found guilty following years of legal proceedings.
The Mohali police had launched an investigation after the 35-year-old woman lodged a complaint with the office of the senior superintendent of police. In her statement, the 35-year-old woman accused Singh of luring her to his residence in Mohali, where he allegedly assaulted her and threatened to use a recorded video of the incident to blackmail her. The allegations led to an FIR registered under Sections 74, 126 (2), 115 (2), 351 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including provisions related to sexual violence and intimidation.

Following the complaint, Singh went into hiding, evading the police for several months. His attempt to flee the country was thwarted when he was arrested at Delhi airport while allegedly trying to board a flight to London. Since then, he has been embroiled in a series of legal battles, with the latest conviction marking a major development in the case.
In a separate case, a 22-year-old woman in Jalandhar recently accused Singh of sexual harassment, prompting an ongoing investigation by the Mohali police. The victim recorded her statement at Mullanpur police station on Tuesday, adding to the growing list of accusations against the pastor.
In her police complaint, the woman alleged that Bajinder Singh used to send text messages to her, and allegedly made her sit alone in a cabin in the church on Sundays, during which he touched her inappropriately. Police have registered a case against the pastor under sections 354A (sexual harassment), 354D (stalking) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.
Adding to the storm surrounding him, a viral video also circulated on social media, purportedly showing Singh assaulting a woman and several employees inside his office.
Singh runs two churches — The Church of Glory and Wisdom at Tajpur in Jalandhar and another in Mohali’s Majri. He became a Christian preacher in 2012, with his supporters claiming that his church had several branches in India and abroad.
