After much anticipation, the New Pamban Bridge – which will connect Rameswaram Island with the Tamil Nadu mainland – is all set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 6. The 2.2 km long vertical lift sea bridge is the first of its kind in India. This bridge is all set to give travel opportunities to tourists and locals, thereby opening new avenues for economic growth in the region.
