Athiya Shetty, KL Rahul Blessed With A Baby Girl; Kiara Advani, Arjun Kapoor Congratulate New Parents
Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on 24th March 2025.
Congratulations are in order as KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty have welcomed their first child, a baby girl. The couple announced the delightful news on Instagram with a joint post. They shared a painting of two swans along with a message that read, “Blessed with a Baby Girl. 24.03.2025. Athiya And Rahul." They simply shared an angel emoji in the caption of the post, expressing their happiness over embracing parenthood. Athiya’s brother Ahan Shetty shared the post on his Instagram stories, expressing his joy at becoming an uncle. Meanwhile, her father Suniel Shetty also shared the great news on his Instagram story along with a heart and evil eye emoji.
Soon after KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty shared the news of the arrival of their daughter, congratulatory messages poured in. Kiara Advani, Arjun Kapoor, Sagarika Ghatge, Masaba Gupta, Shanaya Kapoor and many others congratulated the new parents. Arjun commented, “🥟 is here !!! #squishy !!! Congratulations guy," while Parineeti Chopra wrote, “Congratss guys" Kiara, who will embrace motherhood soon, also showered love on the new parents by dropping red heart emojis.

In November 2024, Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul announced that they were expecting their first child. They shared a note that read, “Our beautiful blessing is coming soon. 2025". While they did not reveal the due date, Athiya’s father Suniel Shetty revealed a few weeks ago that the baby is due in April. He told Hindustan Times that the baby talk has taken over all their family conversations. “Right now, probably the grandchild. There’s no other conversation, and we don’t want any other conversation. We’re just looking forward (to meeting the grandchild) in April," he said, expressing his excitement.
Just two weeks ago, Athiya Shetty dropped stunning pictures from her maternity photoshoot with KL Rahul. They broke the Internet with the gorgeous photos that captured the couple in their most intimate and joyful moments. From lounging on a couch with Athiya cradling her bump while KL Rahul held her close, to a striking outdoor shot where Athiya glowed in a sleek black gown, every frame radiated warmth and love.
Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul met each other for the first time in 2019 through a mutual friend. They tied the knot in January 2023. Their wedding was an intimate affair with only close friends and family members in attendance. It took place at Suniel Shetty’s Khandala farmhouse. The couple celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary in January this year. Athiya marked the occasion with a special post on Instagram by sharing a loved-up photo of herself with her hubby, and wrote, “Happy 2 to my forever."
