Cardi B Confirms New Album For 2025, Promises Surprising Features And Fresh Vibes
Fans have been eagerly waiting for Cardi B's second album, years after she debuted with Invasion of Privacy in 2018.

Cardi B is finally ready with some new music, and fans couldn’t be more happier! The Bodak Yellow rapper recently teased about her long-awaited sophomore album, specifically mentioning the features in the upcoming music. Cardi B released her debut, Invasion of Privacy, in 2018, and it has been over eight years since fans have been eagerly waiting for an update, with the rapper only pushing it back time and again. Breaking her silence, Cardi took to the X spaces on Sunday and assured her fans that they would be surprised with the album.
“I have a lot of features. I’m working with artists, some that I have worked with before and some that I haven’t worked with before. I feel like it’s going to really, really surprise you all. And it’s such a vibe. I could tell you this—I’m 100 per cent confident with this album. I just don’t think what I got is out there," she says in the post.

AdvertisementCardi wrapped up the conversation by stating that she has offered “some clues" from her features for fans. For a while now, the rapper has been quite vocal about her upcoming album, which is a follow-up to her 2018 debut, which even won Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards. Earlier, in an Instagram story, she teased about 100 unreleased songs that could possibly make it to the second album.
“I promise you all this year, I’m not letting my anxiety stop me; I’m not letting what haters say to stop me; I’m not letting what fans say to stop me. Well, I’ve got no choice because I’m dropping my album this year," she said in another X post.
The upcoming album is not the only thing keeping Cardi occupied but also her ongoing dispute with her ex-husband, Offset. In a live session, the rapper made shocking allegations against Offset, accusing him of stalking and harassment. The former couple got married in 2017 and are parents to three kids: a son and two daughters. Cardi filed for divorce in July 2024.
