Dharmendra Undergoes Eye Surgery At 89, Says ‘I Am Strong, Bohot Dum Hai’ As He Exits Hospital | Watch
Veteran actor Dharmendra was seen interacting with the paparazzi after his eye surgery at a hospital in Mumbai.
Veteran actor Dharmendra recently underwent eye surgery, and he was spotted by the paparazzi leaving a hospital in Mumbai with a bandage on his right eye. The 89-year-old actor politely interacted with the paparazzi outside the hospital, and confidently told them that he is strong. Despite his eye surgery, he appeared in good spirits, and reassured everyone about his health.
Dharmendra was spotted outside the hospital on Tuesday, post the surgery. He had a bandage on his right eye, and was making his way to the car. However, he stopped to interact with the paparazzi waiting for him, and said, “I am strong." He further added, “Abhi bhi Dharmendra mein bohot dum hai. Abhi bhi jaan rakhta hoon. Meri aankh eye graft (corneal transplantation) ho gayi hai. I am strong. (Dharmendra still has a lot of strength. I still have the spirit. My eye has undergone an eye graft I am strong)." Dharmendra was seen wearing a printed shirt with black pants, and a black hat. After speaking with the paps, he stepped inside the car and headed home. The video of Dharmendra’s interaction with the paparazzi went viral on Instagram. While one fan wrote, “Love you dharam ji ye kya ho gya," another one commented, “So sweet personality." A third fan wrote, “You are very strong sir."
After a long break, Dharmendra made an acting comeback with Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, which released in 2023. Fans loved his chemistry with Shabana Azmi and their on-screen kiss became a talking point after the film was released. Last year, he also appeared in a small role in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya where he played Shahid Kapoor’s grandfather.
