Director Raju Murugan’s Wife Alleges Harassment After Exposing Suspected Flesh Trade In Society Complex

In a concerning turn of events, Hema Sinha, wife of director Raju Murugan, has now alleged that she is facing harassment and intimidation from residents of her housing complex. According to Sinha, the ordeal began after she raised concerns about a suspected flesh trade operation reportedly taking place within some flats in the community.
Hema Sinha resides with her husband, director Raju Murugan, and their two children in a multistorey apartment complex in Iyyappanthangal, Chennai. The apartment complex, which houses over 2,000 flats, is home to several actors, directors, and film industry professionals.

Upon suspecting illegal activities within the apartment complex, Hema Sinha promptly reported her concerns to the residential association. However, her complaints were allegedly ignored. Shortly after raising the issue, Hema claims she began facing harassment and intimidation, marking the start of what she describes as a period of mental distress and pressure.
Hema Sinha has informed the police that despite regularly paying a maintenance fee of Rs 22,000 every three months, the apartment association has withdrawn all assistance to her family.
She alleged that no staff has been assigned to collect garbage from their flat and that her children have been barred from using the swimming pool. Additionally, she claimed that false and negative stories about her family have been circulated among the residents.
A formal complaint has been registered under four sections, including provisions of the Prevention of Atrocities Against Women Act. Additionally, the police have launched an investigation into Hema Sinha’s allegations regarding suspected illegal activities within the apartment complex. Authorities are looking into both her claims of harassment and the reported illegal operations.
Talking about Raju Murugan, he made his directorial debut with Cuckoo and gained widespread recognition with his second film, Joker, which won the Best Feature Film in Tamil at the 64th National Film Awards. He later went on to work on projects such as Mehendi Circus, Modern Love Chennai, and most recently, Japan.
He is currently working on his upcoming film, My Lord, which stars Sasikumar in the lead role.
