Celebrity MasterChef finalist Gaurav Khanna is accused of copying a dessert from Swiss chef Dives Josh after social media users noticed similarities between their dishes.
The Celebrity MasterChef finale is just around the corner, and the top 5 are bringing their A-game! Tejasswi Prakash, Gaurav Khanna, Nikki Tamboli, Rajiv Adatia, and Faisal Shaikh are all in it to win it, and the competition’s heating up big time. In the latest episode, all eyes were on Gaurav Khanna as he wowed the judges, Ranveer Brar and Vikas Khanna, with a stunning honey-dripping dessert. The chefs looked seriously impressed and couldn’t stop praising Gaurav for his impressive culinary chops.
Well, in the latest update, Gaurav has found himself at the centre of a plagiarism row. He has been accused of copying the dessert created by a Switzerland-based chef. Social media users were quick to notice that Gaurav’s dessert looked strikingly similar to a creation by Swiss chef Dives Josh, which had earlier made its way to his Instagram feed.

The chef himself appeared to throw some subtle shade at the show and Gaurav for the strikingly similar dish. Sharing the promo clip on his Instagram story, Dives Josh wrote, “Well done, so creative…" with a cheeky emoji. In another story, he posted his original creation with the caption “the original."
Meanwhile, in the promo, Ranveer Brar was clearly blown away by the presentation. Mesmerized by the visuals, he said, “Yeh dessert zinda hai, drop by drop," admitting he was totally speechless for a moment. Vikas Khanna was just as taken, saying, “There are times when I feel like I’ve seen everything and it’s just a repeat. But this… this is something new. Yeh nahi expect kiya tha."
Ranveer added with a smile, “Ek hi dil hai dost, kitni baar jeetoge?"
So far, Gaurav has kept mum about the controversy.
