Odia Rapper ‘Juggernaut’ Dies By Suicide In Bengaluru, Family Alleges ‘Harassment’ By Wife
Abhinav Singh, popularly known as 'Juggernaut' allegedly died by suicide in Bengaluru. His family has alleged mental harassment by his wife a reason for the extreme step.
A 32-year-old Odia rapper, popularly known as ‘Juggernaut’, allegedly died by suicide in his apartment in Bengaluru’s Kadubeesanahalli, the police said.
Abhinav Singh took the extreme step by consuming poison on February 9, merely a week after moving to Karnataka for work. He worked at a private company in the capital city. Singh, also an engineer, had earlier worked in Bengaluru for several years as an automation testing engineer.

Family Alleges Harassment By Wife
The singer’s family had lodged a case in Odisha, alleging harassment by his wife. They alleged that the rapper took the decision to take away his life due to differences with his wife, according to reports. He was depressed by the alleged fake allegations levelled against him by his wife.
His family alleged that his wife and in-laws caused him mental harassment, forcing him to take the drastic step.
His body was sent to Odisha after post-mortem while the Marathahalli Police conducted the investigation.
On the night when the incident took place, Abhinav had out for dinner with a friend. He returned to his room and allegedly consumed poison and an empty bottle of poison was recovered from the spot.
The police are yet to ascertain the kind of poison he consumed and are awaiting the report from the Forensic Science Laboratory.
The police said that no suicide note was found in his apartment. The singer’s mother, however, told the local media that Abhinav did leave behind a handwritten note which was allegedly seized by the Bengaluru Police.
The family performed the last rites in Cuttack after his body was handed over to them on Tuesday.
His father Bijaynanda Singh has also lodged a police complaint in Cuttack against Abhinav’s wife, his in-laws and others.
Rocks Relation Between Abhinav And His Wife
According to the local media reports, all was not well between the couple after he was allegedly caught at a Bhubaneswar hotel with other women last year. His wife had recorded the bust along with the police personnel. An Odia actress also accused the singer of stopping the release of her music video and allegedly assaulting her.
The singer refuted all allegations and said that he was being targeted as part of a conspiracy.
Abhinav and his wife had separated, however, the duo was making attempts to make things right.
