The 61-year-old filmmaker talked about the challenges that led to the multiple postponements and the various factors that ultimately led to decision-making for Indian 2.

In a conversation with Behindwoods TV, the 61-year-old filmmaker emphasised that he has always prioritised finishing his work on one project and then taking up the next. In the same interview, Shankar added, “ If it goes beyond that, it’s because of external factors, including dates of actors and cancellations due to various reasons. When a shoot gets cancelled, it’s not easy to bring all the artists back."
Furthermore, the director also talked about his meticulous working style, highlighting how he plans every minute detail to the tee in advance to overcome any and every unforeseen circumstance.
Shankar mentioned that he would always check on the weather conditions and logistics during an outdoor shoot to ensure smooth work progress. Reflecting on Indian 2’s shoot, he thus admitted that once a certain thing went wrong, it was very difficult to restore the original flow of plans, which often needed significant time and effort.
