Shadab Khan made his Bollywood debut in 1997 with 'Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat', starring opposite Rani Mukerji. Despite being the son of Amjad Khan, he failed to make significant impact

Some star kids in the industry have surpassed their parents in fame, while others have struggled to make an impact. One such star kid debuted with a flop film, despite giving it his all. He failed to win over audiences and became a forgotten name in Bollywood.
The actor in question is Shadab Khan, son of legendary actor Amjad Khan, who immortalised the role of Gabbar Singh in Sholay. Even today, people remember Amjad Khan’s menacing performance, where he held his own against legends like Sanjeev Kumar, Dharmendra, and Amitabh Bachchan.

Shadab Khan made his Bollywood debut in 1997 with Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, starring opposite Rani Mukerji. Despite being the son of Amjad Khan, he failed to make a significant impact. While the movie received some appreciation, Shadab did not gain recognition. He struggled to establish himself and, after a few unsuccessful films, disappeared from Bollywood.
Although he played Rani Mukerji’s husband in his debut film, Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat remains known solely for Rani’s performance. Shadab, on the other hand, received no credit for his role.
He went on to star in a few more films, such as Betaabi and Romeo Akbar Walter, but none were successful, and he soon faded from the industry. While Amjad Khan’s portrayal of Gabbar Singh remains unforgettable, his son’s career sank into obscurity.
In a past interview, Shadab admitted, “I never wanted to debut with this film."
