Shot By His Own Dog? Man Survives Bizarre Accident With Minor Injury
When Memphis police arrived at the scene, they found the injured man and his dog, but the weapon was missing.

A bizarre case under investigation by Memphis police has left the Internet in disbelief. A man claimed he was shot — and blamed his dog for it. According to WREG, the man told officers that his one-year-old pitbull, Oreo, accidentally “pulled the trigger" while he was lying in bed with a friend. When Memphis police arrived at the scene, they found the injured man and his dog, but the weapon was missing. Fortunately, the man sustained only a non-serious injury.
In his explanation, the man revealed that his friend, who was present during the incident, took the gun afterwards. This raises the key question — how did the dog manage to pull the trigger? According to the victim, Oreo’s paw accidentally got stuck in the trigger guard, causing the gun to discharge. Amid the chaos, the man sustained a non-serious injury to his thigh.

This isn’t the first time an accidental shooting has made headlines. Such incidents have tragically claimed lives in the past. In one case, 23-year-old Aryan Reddy from Telangana accidentally shot himself during his birthday celebration last year. While cleaning his newly purchased gun at the party, the weapon discharged. The sound of the gunshot startled the guests, who rushed to find Reddy lying in a pool of blood.
