The incident came to light when Bengaluru’s Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) posted a video showing the woman using her laptop while driving on a busy road.

A woman in Bengaluru was recently fined after she was caught using her laptop while driving, leading the police to issue a strong warning for such behaviour. The incident came to light when the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Traffic North posted a video showing the woman balancing her laptop on the steering wheel while driving on a busy and congested road. Along with the video, authorities shared a photo of the woman getting challan for the offense. Although the DCP didn’t reveal her identity, she reminded people that it is unsafe to work while driving and if work is so urgent, people should work from home.

They seized her car and charged her for driving dangerously, for which the woman was asked to pay the fine of Rs 1000. Sharing the video and picture of the accused, the DCP wrote, “Work from home not from car while driving."
