Trump Gives His Definition Of ‘What Is A Woman?’, Room Erupts In Laughter | Video
President Trump defined a woman as someone who can have a baby and is smarter than a man, causing laughter. He criticised transgender athletes in women's sports.

United States President Donald Trump gave his definition of what a woman is while answering a reporter, after which the room erupted in laughter.
The reporter asked the question when Trump was speaking about the swearing-in ceremony of US attorney for New Jersey Alina Habba.

The reporter first acknowledged the role of Trump in the appointment of women to important positions in his government, like chief of staff Susie Wiles, press secretary Karoline Leavitt, and attorney general Pam Bondi.
The journalist then asked, “Since Democrats seem to struggle answering this question, I want to ask you, what is a woman and why is it important that we understand the difference between men and women?"
Replying to the question, Trump confidently said that this was an “easy" one to answer.
“A woman is somebody who, under certain circumstances, can have a baby. She has equality. A woman is a person who is much smarter than a man—I’ve always found. A woman is a person who doesn’t even give a man a chance of success," said Trump as the room erupted in laughter.
Shifting to a serious issue, Trump then spoke about transgender athletes competing in women’s sports.
“A woman is also someone who, in many cases, has been treated unfairly. The idea that men can compete in women’s sports is not only ridiculous but deeply unjust. It disrespects and demeans women," the president said.
Trump further took a dig at a Democratic lawmaker who advocates transgender athletes’ inclusion in women’s sports and said that Democrats by pushing such policies will face trouble in elections.
Trump, in his administration, took several measures which pushed back against gender ideology. The president signed an executive order titled “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports" which stops educational institutions from getting federal funding for transgender athletes to compete with biological women.
He also sanctioned the order “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government" as per which only two genders are recognised at the federal level.
Appreciating the women, Trump said, “Women are incredible people who do so much for our country. We love our women, and we’re going to take care of them."
