The Chennai Super Kings will eye a second successive victory in IPL 2025 as they prepare to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Friday. The five-time winners were eliminated in the previous edition’s group stage at the hands of a Faf du Plessis-led RCB. They will be looking to avenge that defeat in the upcoming fixture. CSK had a solid start to their IPL 2025 campaign as they beat the Mumbai Indians in their season opener last week. Noor Ahmad stole the show with four scalps that kept MI batters humble, curbing them to 155/9. Rachin Ravindra scored an unbeaten 65 during the chase to secure a win by four wickets.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play the Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on March 28. RCB also registered a statement victory over the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens. The three-time finalists halted the reigning champions at 174 runs in the first innings. Next, Phil Salt and Virat Kohli produced explosive knocks to secure a seven-wicket win in the tournament opener. They will hope to extend their winning momentum against CSK.
