Kolkata's iconic Eden Gardens will host the final match of IPL 2025 on Sunday, May 25.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday (February 16) announced the schedule for the upcoming 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). A total of 74 matches will be played between 10 teams across 13 venues in India. Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the first match of IPL 2025 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on March 22, and the final is also scheduled to take place at the same venue on Sunday, May 25.
Like the last two editions, the IPL final is once again going to take place at the home of the defending champions. It’s the third time in IPL history that Eden Gardens will host the summit clash. In the last two IPL finals played at the iconic stadium in Kolkata, the Mumbai Indians defeated the Chennai Super Kings by 23 runs on May 26, 2013, and 41 runs on May 24, 2015, to win the IPL 2013 and IPL 2025 titles, respectively.
