IPL 2025 LSG vs GT Probable Playing XIs, Impact Players: Table-toppers Gujarat Titans, after winning four matches in a row, will face Rishabh Pant-led Lucknow Super Giants in their sixth league match of IPL 2025 on Saturday (April 12). The match No. 26 of this year’s IPL season is set to take place at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Both teams are coming into Saturday afternoon’s contest after winning their last two matches, and they would like to maintain the winning run.
For GT, their top four batters – Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler and Sherfane Rutherford – have impressed with their performances so far, and for the home team – Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran – are also on fire. However, their skipper – Rishabh Pant, who is the most expensive player in Indian Premier League history – is yet to fire. In the five matches played so far, Pant has only managed to score 0, 15, 2 and 2 runs. He will be eager to play a big knock on Saturday in front of home fans and help his side end GT’s winning run of four matches.

LSG’s likely paying XI
For the third home game of the ongoing season, LSG are unlikely to make any changes to the playing XI. In the last match played at Ekana Stadium, the Rishabh Pant-led side secured a 12-run win over the Mumbai Indians, thanks to a superb bowling performance from Digvesh Rathi, Shardul Thakur and Avesh Khan. The trio will be key players for LSG against the in-form GT attack as well.
In the batting, the home team will expect Pooran and Marsh to maintain their red-hot form and come up with another big show on Saturday. While Pooran is leading the Orange Cap race in IPL 2025, Marsh has scored four fifties in five matches played so far.

The Shubman Gill-led side would like to extend the winning streak to five matches on Saturday afternoon. Despite playing with only three overseas players in the XI, GT have impressed with their performance in all three departments of the game. While Sudharsan, Gill, Buttler and Rutherford are making mountains of runs for them, Mohammed Siraj, Sai Kishore and Prasidh Krishna are making life difficult for the opposition batters.
During the match against LSG at Ekana Stadium, Buttler and Sai Sudharsan will have a chance to take the No. 1 position in the Orange Cap leaderboard, whereas Sai Kishore and Siraj can rise to the No. 1 position in the Purple Cap race.
On Saturday it will, however, be interesting to see if Washington Sundar manages to find a place in GT’s playing XI. The Tamil Nadu-based cricketer has played only one match for the Ahmedabad-based franchise this season, and in that he scored 49 runs.
