Pakistan, the reigning champions, made a disastrous start to the competition. They lost the opener to New Zealand by 60 runs.

India was not troubled much during the chase and wrapped up the game in the 43rd over. Despite their exit from the ICC competition, Pakistan will look to finish the Champions Trophy campaign with a win on home soil.

Bangladesh will also aim for the same, having suffered two defeats in a row. Up against India in the tournament opener, Bangladesh could have registered 228 runs and lost by six wickets. They batted first in the next game as well but failed to cross the 250-run mark again. With Rachin Ravindra scoring a century, New Zealand completed the chase with ease.

The rain may cause hindrance during the Champions Trophy game between Pakistan and Bangladesh, set to be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on February 27. The weather may remain mostly cloudy throughout the day, with a maximum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature dropping to as low as 12 degrees Celcius. The wind speed is expected to be around 15-22 kmph during the ODI match while the humidity will be almost 79-98 percent.

The pitch at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is expected to favour fast bowlers. Most of the previous ODIs played at the venue were high-scoring affairs. Bangladesh earlier faced New Zealand in Rawalpindi and more than 470 runs were scored in the match. Due to humid conditions, spinners may also come in handy in the second half. The captain winning the toss may prefer to field first.
