IPL 2025 RCB vs GT Probable Playing XIs: Likely playing XIs and top players to watch out for during IPL match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans.

IPL 2025 RCB vs GT Probable Playing XIs, Impact Players: Table-toppers Royal Challengers Bengaluru will host Gujarat Titans in their first home match of the IPL 2025 season on Wednesday (April 2) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The Rajat Patidar-led side kicked off its IPL 2025 campaign by securing a 7-wicket win over defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2025 opener played on March 22 and then got the better of Chennai Super Kings at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai after 17 years. On the other hand, GT has won one out of the two matches played so far in the 18th edition of the world’s richest franchise cricket league.
The 2022 IPL champions would also like to maintain the winning run and get the better of RCB in the first match away from home.

RCB’s likely playing XI
Royal Challengers Bengaluru are unlikely to make any changes to the playing XI for the third match of the season. In the two matches played so far, Phil Salt, Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar have impressed with their batting performances, and the team management will expect them to maintain the red-hot form against GT as well. Krunal Pandya, Devdutt Padikkal, Liam Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma will bat in the middle order for the Bengaluru-based franchise, whereas Australian speedster Josh Hazlewood will lead the pace attack.
The right-arm fast bowler has picked up five wickets in two matches played so far, and he would like to give his team a dream start on Tuesday as well. The onus of RCB’s spin attack will rest upon Suyash Sharma’s shoulders, and he will have Krunal and Livingstone’s support.
RCB’s probable playing XI: Virat Kohli, Philip Salt, Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar (c), Liam Livingstone, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Tim David, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, Yash Dayal
Impact players: Rasikh Dar, Suyash Sharma
GT’s likely playing XI
In the two matches played so far, GT’s top four batters – Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler and Sherfane Rutherford – have impressed with their batting performances, but it will be interesting to see how they perform against the likes of Hazlewood, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yash Dayal. Also, there are question marks over the participation of Sudharsan. The left-handed batter is GT’s leading run scorer in IPL 2025, but he suffered an injury during the team’s last match against the Mumbai Indians. It will be interesting to see if he is fit to play against RCB on Wednesday.
In case he misses out, Buttler will move to the top of the batting order and open the innings with Gill. GT’s middle order has failed to impress so far, but due to a lack of options on the bench, there are not many chances of change. But for the match against RCB, GT could consider bringing in Washington Sundar or Mahipal Lomror, who have played at Chinnaswamy Stadium in the past.
In the bowling, GT will have high hopes from Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna, who, along with Kagiso Rabada, will lead the team’s pace attack. Siraj and Krishna were on fire for the Titans in the last match played against the Mumbai Indians.
GT’s probable playing XI: Shubman Gill (C), Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler (WK), Sherfane Rutherford, Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna
Impact players: Washington Sundar, Mahipal Lomror, Ishant Sharma.
