Several children under the aegis of batting legend Sachin Tendulkar’s foundation shared the field with some of cricket’s greatest names in the International Masters League, which must have been a brilliant experience for the bunch of children.

According to a social media post by the foundation, 22 children walked into the stadium with the teams, while 150 others cheered for them. Watch the video here:

Founded six years ago by Tendulkar and his wife Anjali, the foundation empowers underprivileged children through sports, health and education, helping them achieve brighter futures.

Meanwhile, the iconic Tendulkar rolled back the years with a 21-ball 34 as India notched up a convincing nine-wicket victory over England.

Set a target of a paltry 133, India completed the chase in the 12th over. Tendulkar delighted those present inside the stadium, besides the children from his foundation, with five boundaries and a six before getting dismissed by Chris Schofield.

Gurkeerat Singh Mann top-scored for the home side with an unbeaten 63 off 35 deliveries, while the exuberant Yuvraj Singh remained unbeaten on 27 off 14 balls, as India registered their second consecutive victory.

It was a throwback to his prime years as Tendulkar smacked three successive fours in the fifth over while finding the gaps with ease.

Earlier in the evening, India won the toss and opted to field, and the decision proved to be the right one as the Tendulkar-led team restricted England to just 132/8.

Some of the English players, including Darren Maddy and Tim Ambrose, got starts but couldn’t translate them into big contributions in the face of some brilliant bowling from the Indians.

Pacer Dhawal Kulkarni led the way with impressive figures of 3/21 in four overs, while there were two wickets apiece for pacer Abhimanyu Mithun and left-arm spinner Pawan Negi.
