When asked how the team bonding session is going, Bengaluru skipper Rajat Patidar replied in the affirmative, adding how Swastik was keeping the atmosphere lively for all.

“We are sitting in the dressing room in Kolkata and Swastik Chikara went to Virat Kohli‘s bag. Without asking, he removed a perfume bottle and used it and everyone started laughing," Dayal said while speaking to RCB Insider.

Bade Bhaiya hai na wo apne (Virat Kohli is our elder brother), so I was checking his perfume to ensure he doesn’t use a bad perfume, so I tried it. And then Virat bhaiya asked how it was, I said it’s nice, and I was checking to let you know," Swastik said.

Meanwhile, Aussie great Matthew Hayden has lauded the selection of Krunal Pandya as a “smart pick" for the Bengaluru camp in IPL 2025, adding that there is “something special" about this Bengaluru unit this year.

Bengaluru halted the Kolkata Knight Riders’ charge in the IPL opener on Saturday, March 22, staging a brilliant comeback to secure a seven-wicket victory over the defending champions.

Left-arm spinner Pandya set up the victory over Kolkata for Bengaluru, returning figures of 4-0-29-3. The opening pair of Phil Salt (56) and Kohli (59) then scripted the chase, with Patidar (34) making all the right moves to ensure Bengaluru started IPL 2025 with a win.
