The Indian men’s cricket team is set to face the Prime Minister’s XI in a two-day warm-up match, which is set to start on November 30 at Manuka Oval in Canberra. During the match, Indian players will get a chance to play with the pink ball ahead of the day-night Test against Australia at Adelaide Oval from December 6 to 10. India last played a pink ball Test in March 2022, and during the day-night played against Australia in 2020, Indian players could only manage to score 36 runs in the second innings.

Former Australian Test captain Tim Paine was announced as the head coach of Prime Minister XI on Friday, and the former stumper expects Indian superstars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to take part in the two-day pink ball warm-up match. According to Paine, the Indians had a tough time when they last played a pink ball Test so he expects the visitors to approach the game with some of their best players.

I’m looking forward to working with some of our most talented young cricketers around Australia as well, so it will be good fun."
