Kamindu Mendis had KKR's batters baffled with his ambidextrous bowling which resulted in the big wicket of Angkrish Raghuvanshi.
Among the most notable changes made in the Sunrisers Hyderabad for their ongoing game against the Kolkata Knight Riders was the inclusion of the Sri Lankan all-rounder, Kamindu Mendis, who was making his debut in the Indian Premier League.

He was brought into the attack for just one over, but he delivered a massive impact by getting rid of Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who scored a brilliant fifty and was taking the game away from the visitors. The wicket was possible only because of Harshal Patel taking a brilliant catch in the deep backward point region.
With just four runs and a wicket in the over, Mendis certainly had a positive start to his career in the IPL. He will now hope that he can contribute with the bat and ensure that SRH get back to winning ways. Thanks to the fifties by Raghuvanshi and Venkatesh Iyer, the hosts were able to set a target of 201.
SRH will back themselves to complete the chase considering their explosive batting unit that has scored totals over 250 runs in an innings. Kamindu Mendis will back himself to bolster the middle-order alongside Aniket Verma, should it come down to that as well.
The visitors suffered a big blow by losing Travis Head in the first over with Harshit Rana taking a brilliant catch. But they still have enough batting depth to go all the way in this chase. Vaibhav Arora gave the early breakthrough but KKR will look to let loose considering how deep SRH’s batting can go.
