Kohli, who is one of the greatest batters of all time, hasn’t played a Ranji Trophy match in the last 12 years. His last appearance in the premier domestic competition for Delhi was against Uttar Pradesh in Mohan Nagar in 2012.
Kohli was named in Delhi’s Ranji Trophy squad for the last group stage match on Monday. He will play under the leadership of Ayush Badoni. Kohli missed Delhi’s last match against Saurashtra due to neck pain.
Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant played for Delhi against Saurashtra in Rajkot but failed to do much with the bat. He scored 1 run from 10 balls in the first innings and 17 in the second before being sent back to the pavilion by Ravindra Jadeja.
