The second semifinal of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season is currently underway between defending champions Mumbai and last edition’s losing finalists Vidarbha at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur these days. On Day 3 of the match, Mumbai is trailing by more than 100 runs to Vidarbha’s first innings total of 383 runs and has only two wickets in hand.

The Mumbai players, who will hope to cut down Vidarbha’s first innings lead to as low a score as possible, are wearing black armbands on Wednesday, February 19, in memory of former captain and selector Milind Rege, who passed away on Wednesday morning after suffering a heart attack, just days after turning 76.
