A farmer’s son from UP has defied the odds to pass the JEE Main examination, making his family, village and district proud. Rajan Bhatt, hailing from the village of Vishokhor in Siswa area of Maharajganj, a district often labelled as backward, is winning hearts with his inspiring journey of struggle.
Excelling in his studies from a young age, Rajan studied at a local school before moving to Kota to prepare for the highly competitive JEE. However, the path to success was paved with challenges. His father, a farmer with a modest income, took the courageous decision to invest his assets in his son’s education.

Recognising his son’s aspiration to become an engineer, Rajan’s father unhesitatingly sold their farmland to fund his education in Kota. Despite limited resources, the family left no stone unturned in ensuring their son had the best possible opportunity.
“We may not be highly educated ourselves, but we yearned to witness our son’s progress. We did everything within our power to support him," Rajan’s father shared, his eyes welling up with emotion.
Rajan’s accomplishment has brought immense joy to his village, with his home buzzing with well-wishers. “This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support and sacrifices of my parents. Their dream has now become mine," expressed a grateful Rajan.
