As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised to return to power in the national capital of Delhi after 27 years with a decisive mandate, the party leaders and workers were seen celebrating and dancing to the beats of dhol and music.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, North-East Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari, and New Delhi MP Bansuri Swaraj, along with other party leaders and workers were also seen slaying their dance moves on the beats of BJP’s poll campaign song- “Delhi mein Bhajpa sarkaar chhaiye“, celebrating the party’s victory at the BJP Headquarters.

Meanwhile, PM Modi is scheduled to address the party workers at the BJP Headquarters in some time from now.
Ever since the results came out on Saturday, BJP supporters rang in an early Holi. Supporters danced to the beats of ‘dhol‘ and waved party flags, creating a festive atmosphere. Holding up cutouts of a lotus, the BJP’s election symbol, and and several plates of laddoos, they also smeared each other with saffron-coloured powder.
Earlier today, a worker from the saffron party was seen crying with joy amid the celebrations.
A video on social media showed BJP worker Puneet Vohra getting emotional over the BJP returning to power in the national capital.
The BJP is poised to form a government in Delhi for the first time since 1998, with the latest Election Commission data showing the saffron party ahead in 48 of the 70 assembly seats and AAP in 22.
BJP’s Parvesh Verma and Tarvinder Singh Marwah emerged as the biggest giant-slayers in the high-octane Delhi Assembly elections, defeating AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia in the New Delhi and Jangpura constituencies respectively.
In a fierce triangular contest in the New Delhi seat, Verma secured 30,088 votes, while Kejriwal trailed behind with 25,999 votes. Congress’ Sandeep Dikshit finished third with 4,568 votes.
