Cody Gakpo has had a brilliant day and he caps it off with an assist as he keeps the ball in play with great strain near the goal line and cuts is back to Malen in the centre, who taps the ball in to double the Dutch lead and confirm their dominance in the game on paper.

Another Dutch chance goes beggin as Donny Malen does incredibly well to bribble all the way from his own half after leaving a defender flatfooted.

However, the Dutchman opts for the incorrect ball in with his pass to the right to Gakpoo while the player to his left, Simons, was in a much better position to take a shot all the way along.

He brings it down and looks to slot it into the net with the outside of his feet, but Romania have enough men behind to prevent the ball from crossing the line to stay in the game.

Reijnders, who has been impressive throughout the tournament, ventures forward and could go for the jugular here!

He looks to get in between the space and fire one in, but the Romanian defenders organise themselves in time and withstands the danger.

Gakpo’s lone strike is the difference between the sides as the teams head into the tunnel for the halftime break!

Koeman’s unit are piling pressure on the Romanians, who seems like they could crack any moment now.

Dumfires’s athletic ability is on display as he pulls one beind to Xavi Simons to put it on a patter for the youngster. However, the former Barca player comes up with an uncharacteristic poor first touch that makes everything more difficult for himself inside the box and the ball is cleared away from danger!
