In Gwalior, a 4-year-old was found buried under rubble after a 12-year-old girl allegedly lured him with berries, strangled him, and smashed his head.
A shocking incident rattled Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district where the lifeless body of a 4-year-old boy was discovered buried beneath rubble. What makes the case even more distressing is that the alleged perpetrator is a mere 12-year-old girl. The tragic sequence of events unfolded in Sirol’s Cosmo Ananda Township, where little Devraj Vanskar went missing on Tuesday afternoon. His body was recovered late Wednesday night, sending shockwaves through the community.
The police revealed that the minor girl lured Devraj away under the pretense of feeding him berries. Once isolated, she strangled him and then brutally smashed his head with a stone. To conceal the crime, she dumped his body in a pit meant for a pillar foundation and covered it with stones and soil.

Devraj’s parents, migrant labourers from Lalitpur Mahulen village in Uttar Pradesh, had temporarily moved to Gwalior for work. On the fateful day, his father, Ramkumar Vanskar, and mother had gone to their workplace, leaving their children to play in the vicinity. Around noon, Devraj was last seen heading off with a neighborhood girl to collect berries. When his mother later came looking for him, he was nowhere to be found.
Panic set in as the family searched frantically, but their efforts proved futile. By evening, local police were alerted, and an official search operation was launched.
Investigators reviewing CCTV footage from the area spotted Devraj walking alongside a young girl. When questioned, the girl initially claimed she had left him behind. Given her age, the police did not suspect her immediately. However, Devraj’s younger sister remained adamant that he had never returned. This persistence led police to press the girl further. Under sustained questioning, she eventually broke down and revealed the horrifying truth.
Following her confession, police recovered Devraj’s body from a nearby abandoned plot. The accused minor is now in police custody as investigations continue. The motive behind the brutal act remains unclear.
