A shocking murder case sent ripples of fear through Maharashtra’s Jalna district after a 13-year-old boy allegedly murdered a 41-year-old woman in a fit of rage. The tragic incident, which unfolded on March 25, was reportedly triggered by an argument over a mobile phone and the obstruction of water flow to an agricultural field.

The deceased, identified as Meera alias Sandhya Rajabhau Bondare, was found dead following a violent altercation with the accused minor. Initially, the case remained shrouded in mystery as local authorities scrambled for leads. A formal complaint was filed by Ankush Sadashiv Aute at the Tirthapuri police station against an unknown assailant, prompting an intensive investigation led by the Local Crime Branch (LCB) and Tirthapuri police.

    According to the investigation, witnesses from the village reported seeing a boy fleeing from the crime scene, which became a crucial lead in the probe. The police interrogated seven individuals before their enquiries led them to the minor suspect. When confronted, the boy eventually confessed to the crime.

      A joint effort by multiple police officers including Superintendent of Police (SP) Ajay Kumar Bansal, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ayush Nopani, and DYSP Vishal Khambe, played a vital role in unravelling the mystery. The LCB team, led by Pankaj Jadhav, and officers from Tirthapuri Police Station, including Sajid Ahmed, carried out an extensive investigation, culminating in the boy’s detention.

      The young suspect remains in custody as legal proceedings continue. The police are now examining the circumstances surrounding the incident, particularly the psychological state of the minor and the possible role of external influences in the crime.
