Call Drops: Haryana Consumer Gets Rs 5 Lakh Compensation From Telecom Giant
The court ruled that the consumer had suffered mental, physical, and financial distress due to the network flaws

Network and call drop issues are common in several districts of Haryana, particularly in Charkhi Dadri. In one such case, the Dadri Consumer Court awarded a consumer compensation of Rs 5 lakh from a telecom company. The court also mentioned that if the amount is not paid to the petitioner within 45 days, the company will be required to pay the amount with 9% interest.
Advocate Sanjeev Takshak shared that he had been using Vodafone’s SIM card and faced issues, including network problems and call drops, for a long time. Despite lodging a complaint with the customer care helpline, no solution was provided. In March 2022, he approached the Dadri Consumer Forum. The court heard both parties and on December 18 delivered a verdict in favour of the consumer.
