Delhi Assembly Election Results 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) clinched a stunning victory on Saturday after winning 48 seats. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) faced its biggest defeat with 22 seats. AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal lost to BJP’s Parvesh Verma, solidifying the BJP’s historic comeback in Delhi after 27 years.

Several prominent AAP leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, and Satyendar Singh, who initially held leads for a few rounds, ultimately faced defeats at the hands of BJP contenders, marking a sweeping victory for the saffron party.

Among AAP’s big guns, Atishi emerged as the only leader who won from the Kalkaji constituency after defeating BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri.

Congress, which has faced two consecutive electoral defeats, could not open account in this high-stakes battle as well.

With the results out, a wave of celebrations broke out outside BJP’s Delhi headquarters as the party’s supporters waved party flags and danced to the tunes of dhol. The office of the defeated Aam Aadmi Party had a silent atmosphere.

Speaking at the BJP headquarters, Prime Minister Narendra Modi underlined the promise of cleaning River Yamuna and making it the city’s identity. He laid the roadmap of ‘Viksit Delhi and attacked Congress for hitting a double hattrick of ‘zero’ in Delhi assembly elections.
