Dog Attacks Child Inside Noida Society, Residents Assault Couple Who Feed Strays | Video

In a horrifying incident from Noida, a mob at a residential society in Sector – 70 allegedly attacked a young couple who feed and take care of stray dogs in the area. The incident occurred on May 2 after one of the stray dogs in the society attacked a six-year-old boy.
As per media reports, the child was seriously injured but was reported to be stable later that day. Following the incident, the residents protested against the dog feeders staying in the society and soon approached the police for action.

However, the irate mob also attacked a young dog-feeder couple, Shubham and Sankalita, and pushed around and assaulted the police officials.
The couple claimed that the irate mob pushed the on-duty constable and even tried to switch off the security cameras at the spot.
“One of them tried to snatch my wife’s phone while she was recording the incident and ended up injuring her," Shubham added.
He further claimed that some of his friends, who had come to support them during that time, were pulled by their t-shirt collars, visuals of which were also captured on camera.
Taking to their official X account, People For Animals (PFA) shared the video of the angry mob and said, “A violent mob at Pan Oasis, Sector 70 Noida, defied the law as it attacked a young couple who feed & care for community dogs. Even Police were pushed around & assaulted. Immediate action is requested against the rioters."

The animal welfare organisation further claimed that the caregivers, who have gotten all the society dogs sterilised and vaccinated, were even ‘physically assaulted, vulgarly abused and issued death threats’.
The residents have also threatened to beat the dogs and relocate them, the PFA added.
An official complaint was registered in connection to the case however no FIR has been lodged yet.
