Ex-Armyman Kills Wife, Boils Her Body Parts In Pressure Cooker, Then Dumps Them In Hyderabad Lake
The man chopped the body of his wife after killing her and boiled them in pressure cooker and then dumped them in a lake, the police said.

In a horrific incident, a former army man allegedly murdered his wife, chopped her body into pieces, boiled them in a pressure cooker, and then dumped the remains in a lake in the Jillelaguda area of Telangana’s Hyderabad, the police said on Thursday.
The crime took place under the Meerpet police station limits and came to light after the victim’s mother filed a missing complaint, after which the accused, Gurumurthy, was arrested. The deceased was identified as Puttavenkata Madhavi, 35.

The man and Madhavi lived in Jillelaguda for five years with their two children.
Gurumurthy, during interrogation, admitted to committing the crime.
The police started an investigation into the matter and are collecting additional evidence.
Meerpet Inspector Nagaraju said that the husband, now in custody, claimed he disposed of the remains in a lake after boiling them and making them as powder. His claims are being verified.
How Did The Incident Take Place?
Nagaraju said that the couple had been together for over 10 years and belonged to Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam district. Gurumurthy is a retired army personnel who is currently employed as a security guard in Kanchanbagh.
Madhavi’s mother Uppala Subbamma had filed a missing complaint on January 18, stating that the married couple had an argument around 8 am on January 16 over petty issues.
Upset with the quarrel, Madhavi left home at around noon without informing anyone and did not return. Their neighbours and relatives looked for her but she was nowhere to be found, she said in her complaint.
According to the police, the accused told them that he killed his wife on sudden provocation when she demanded to go to her native place in Nandyal.
As the police are verifying the truth behind his claims, the wife’s body is yet to be found.
