Atishi was appointed as the Leader of the Opposition during AAP’s legislative meeting today, where MLA Sanjeev Jha put forward her name for the crucial position.

“Thanks to Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and the Legislative Party for trusting me. A strong Opposition raises the voice of the people. The Aam Aadmi Party will fulfil all the promises made by BJP," Atishi said.

The Delhi Assembly is scheduled to convene on Monday for its first session.

The three-day session will see the ruling BJP government table pending CAG reports related to the performance of the previous AAP government, as announced by the party.

“As CM, I had sent the CAG report to the speaker of the Delhi assembly… These CAG reports were sent to the assembly in a sealed envelope before the elections… BJP is trying to spread the misconception that the CAG report is being presented by them… The misconception being spread among the people of Delhi should be brought before the public," said Atishi.
