The security of vital installations, vulnerable areas, high-value targets, and minority pickets guarded by the CRPF will also be strengthened, an official said

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have been alerted following the latest intelligence input hinting at fresh attacks after two major incidents in Pakistan. The input has claimed that to hide its frustration, Pakistan’s ISI, along with terror outfits, is planning attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, a top official told News18.
According to the official, CRPF, BSF, and other security forces have alerted their troops about potential lone-wolf and hit-and-run attacks targeting security personnel.

“In Noshki, Balochistan, a Pakistani military convoy was ambushed. The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that they targeted a convoy of eight vehicles. The BLA has reported a significantly higher number of fatalities than Pakistani authorities. The attack involved a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) and subsequent gunfire," an official aware of the intelligence input said.
They added: “Another incident is the killing of Abu Qatal, a key LeT operative, who was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Pakistan on March 15, 2025. He was the main handler of the terror outfit involved in planning various attacks in the Poonch-Rajouri region." Agencies believe the incidents may impact the law-and-order situation in J&K.
Another official from a central security force said: “It is fairly evident that in an attempt to hide its frustration, ISI may blame others, and repercussions on the security scenario in the Kashmir Valley cannot be ruled out. In light of this, we have reiterated that troops deployed for ROP, Naka, and other duties must remain alert and vigilant."
The official added: “The security of vital installations, vulnerable areas, high-value targets, and minority pickets guarded by the CRPF will also be strengthened to thwart any nefarious designs of adversaries. All possible proactive and preventive measures will be implemented with close supervision at all levels."
