Indian Army Eliminates Two Infiltrators, Recovers Arms, Ammunition In Kashmir’s Haji Peer Sector
According to the Indian army, recovered two assault rifles, ammunition and other war-like stores were recovered.

Hours after Jammu and Kashmir witnessed one of the deadliest terror attacks in Pahalgam, the Indian army on Wednesday foiled terrorists’ bid to cross the Line of Control in Baramulla district. At least two terrorists were killed in the encounter that ensued after they were intercepted by security personnel.
According to the Indian army, approximately two to three terrorists on Wednesday tried to infiltrate through Uri Nala. They also recovered two assault rifles, ammunition and other war-like stores, the army officials said in a press release. They also said that pistols and rounds of bullets have been received and one IED was also retrieved.

“The Indian Army successfully neutralized two infiltrators in the Haji Peer Sector, recovering a substantial cache of arms and ammunition. The operation, conducted along the Line of Control, underscores the Army’s vigilance and commitment to maintaining security in the region," the press release said.
“They said the operation was done with clear precision and the search operation still on and this is a big success to army men and JKP (Jammu and Kashmir Police)," Brigadier Mayank Shukla said.
The operation came hours after at least 26 tourists were killed and several injured after a group of terrorists linked to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) opened fire at a popular tourist destination in Baisaran valley in southern Kashmir’s Pahalgam.
Reportedly, two foreign nationals were among the 28 tourists killed in the terrorist attack on Tuesday.
