International Yoga Day Celebrated with Fanfare in Karnataka
International Yoga Day was celebrated with much fanfare across Karnataka on Friday.
The main event took place on the grand steps of Vidhana Soudha where Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot along with Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, Legislative Council Chairperson Basavaraj Horatti and senior government officials took part in the event. A large number of students too took part in the event and did Yogasanas.
Speaking on the occasion, Gehlot highlighted the profound impact of yoga on mental peace and emotional satisfaction. He also underscored yoga’s deep roots in Indian culture and its global significance.

rime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said yoga can help Jammu and Kashmir attract more tourists which will provide new livelihood opportunities to the local residents.
Addressing a gathering on the 10th International Yoga Day on the banks of Dal Lake here, the prime minister cited a competition held in Egypt wherein yoga was used to promote tourism in the North African country.
“I recently saw a video from Egypt. They organised a competition and awarded the best yoga photographs and videos from iconic tourist places in the country. In the pictures and videos, I saw girls from Egypt standing in front of the iconic Pyramids doing yoga, it was so attractive.
“For Kashmir, yoga can become such a big source of livelihood. It can become a centre of attraction for tourists,” Modi told the yoga practitioners on the lawns of SKICC on the banks of Dal Lake in Srinagar.

The 10th International Yoga Day was celebrated across Bihar on Friday with Governor Rajendra V Arlekar, Deputy Chief Ministers and other state ministers attending the main events in the state capital. In a post on X, Raj Bhavan (Bihar), said, “The governor, officials and employees of the governor’s secretariat practised yoga in the yoga camp organised at Raj Bhavan on the occasion of the 10th International Yoga Day on Friday… ”.
Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha and several other ministers and senior bureaucrats participated in a yoga session at an event held at the Patliputra Sports complex to mark the occasion.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi led the celebration of the 10th International Yoga Day in the state on Friday.
For the first time after the BJP formed government in Odisha, the day was celebrated across the state in a big way on Friday morning to highlight the importance of the ancient practice of yoga.
The chief minister led the main event at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar. He performed yoga and addressed the huge gathering of students, officials and other individuals. Sports and Youth Services Minister Suryabanshi Suraj and Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena also participated in the event.

Amid rain at few places, scores of people, especially students, participated in the International Yoga Day celebrations across Himachal Pradesh on Friday. Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla performed yoga at the historic Ridge Ground here while the leader of the opposition Jai Ram Thakur and state BJP chief Rajiv Bindal performed yoga in Una and Solan.

Over three hundred people from across Israel rolled out yoga mats and performed asanas as they participated in International Yoga Day celebrations at the Peres Centre for Peace and Innovation in Tel Aviv. First Lady Michal Herzog was the chief guest at the main International Yoga Day event on Thursday. A series of events were held across the country.
