J&K: Security Audit Of Tourist Locations Likely In Wake Of Pahalgam Attack, Upcoming Amarnath Yatra
In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, a full security audit of tourist sites in Jammu and Kashmir will be conducted ahead of the Amarnath Yatra, sources informed.

A complete security audit of tourist locations in Jammu and Kashmir is likely to be conducted in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack and the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, police sources said on Thursday.
The decision came after Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a meeting with the security officials in Srinagar on Wednesday.

Areas including the Baisaran Valley were thrown open for tourists post the abrogation of Article 370, as the situation in the Union Territory improved.
Now, with the Amarnath Yatra coming up, district-level officials were asked to carry out a security audit, sources said.
All such areas would also see the deployment of police and the Central Reserve Police Force soon, they said.
As many as 25 Indians and one Nepali national were killed in the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22.
Reports suggested armed terrorists first asked tourists their names, then their religion, and asked them to recite Kalma (an Islamic phrase).
They reportedly shot those who said they were non-Muslims.
