Longest Hand-Print Painting To Cleanliness Drive: Maha Kumbh 2025 Enters World Records
The 45-day long Maha Kumbh, the world’s largest gathering, concluded in Prayagraj on Maha Shivratri, marking the final day of the festival on Wednesday.

The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has set three Guinness World Records including, the longest hand-print painting, a synchronized cleanliness drive by 15,000 sanitation workers, and the world’s first mass river cleaning.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak received the World Records certificates achieved in different categories during the closing ceremony on Thursday, a day after the conclusion of mega event.

What World Records Have Been Set?
- One of the records was the creation of the longest hand-print painting, a feat that saw over 10,000 participants come together in the Ganga Pandal of Sector-1. Spanning 80 feet in length and 5 feet in width, the artwork symbolised unity, social harmony, and collective spirit.
- Over 15,000 sanitation workers conducted a synchronised cleanliness drive across four zones in the Mela Kshetra. Each worker was digitally counted using wristband-scanning technology to ensure accuracy.
- 300 sanitation workers made history by securing the world’s first Guinness record for a large-scale coordinated river cleaning effort simultaneously.

CM Yogi Applauds Sanitation Workers, Volunteers
CM Yogi applauded the hard-work and dedication of the sanitation workers and volunteers who tirelessly worked for the successful completion of the Maha Kumbh.
He said, “I thank the people of Prayagraj – those who from the last two months took this event (Maha Kumbh) as the event of their home. I can understand that the city has a population of 20-25 lakhs, and hence what would have been the condition when 5-8 crore people came at one time…"

Earlier today, CM Yogi Adityanath, Deputy CMs Brajesh Pathak, Keshav Prasad Maurya and other cabinet ministers participated in a cleanliness drive at Arail Ghat in Prayagraj.
Maha Kumbh 2025
The 45-day long Maha Kumbh, the world’s largest gathering, concluded in Prayagraj on Maha Shivratri, marking the final day of the festival on Wednesday.
The Maha Kumbh had witnessed six special bathing dates — Paush Purnima on January 13, Makar Sankranti on January 14, Mauni Amavasya on January 29, Basant Panchami on February 3, Maghi Purnima on February 12 and Mahashivratri on February 26 — including three ‘Amrit Snans’.
From January 13 to February 26, the event saw people from across the country and beyond, including politicians, athletes, industrialists, and Bollywood celebrities, take a holy dip at the sacred Triveni Sangam. It witnessed nearly 66 crore devotees take holy dip at Triveni Sangam.
The religious fair saw unprecedented security measures, including anti-drone systems and AI-enabled cameras, to monitor the Mahakumbh Nagar, which was set up as UP’s 76th district for the event. Spread across 40 hectares, it remained busy with activity 24/7 over the past six weeks.
