Pakistani Troops Open Fire Along LoC In J&K's Poonch, Indian Army Retaliates
The Indian Army retaliated after the Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing along the LoC in J&K's Poonch on Sunday.

A brief exchange of fire took place along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Sunday, flaring up tensions in the area, the Indian Army officials said.
The Pakistani troops opened small arms fire at around 11 am today, after which the Indian Army retaliated. No casualties were reported on the Indian side of the border, the officials said.

According to reports, the fire came in from a forested area from across the LoC towards the Indian Army post in the Gulpur sector of the district.
The Pakistani FLDat Nakkarkot, where the 24 AK Battalion was deployed, was involved in the incident.
The Indian Army gave a befitting response with around 60 rounds of small arms fire towards the Pakistani FDL.
The officials said that there were no reports of injuries or material damage on the Indian side of the border.
Last week, there were various cross-border incidents which included an IED explosion killing two Army soldiers.
Two soldiers were injured in ceasefire violations, after which the Indian Army retaliated and inflicted “heavy casualties" on Pakistan.
