Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s blood sample and clothes which he was wearing on the night of the knife attack were collected by the Mumbai Police as part of the investigation.

As per the remand copy of the accused, the clothes which the actor was wearing when he was attacked by the intruder have been taken into police custody for carrying out the investigation.

    The police have also found blood stains on the clothes which were worn by the accused attacker Shariful Islam on the night when the incident occurred. The police have collected the blood samples of Khan to match with those stains.

    The police have sent the actor’s clothes and blood samples and the clothes of the attacker to the Forensic Lab (FSL) to check if the blood stains on the clothes of the attacker are of the actor.

    Police Custody Of Accused Extended Till Jan 29

    The police custody of the accused was extended till January 29 by the Bandra Magistrate Court on Friday.

    The court stated that the matter has seen substantial progress and it is necessary to investigate other consequential aspects.

    Mumbai Police had appealed for an extension of the custody of the accused and have expressed their suspicion of more accomplices being involved in the stabbing case.

    Last week, Khan was stabbed multiple times by an intruder who had barged into his house with the intent of robbery. The police later arrested Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad as the accused in the case.

    The actor had sustained stab wounds in the spine and other areas and was rushed to Lilavati Hospital immediately where he underwent multiple surgeries.

      Mumbai Police on Wednesday collected several fingerprints of the accused from the residence of the actor in Bandra. The fingerprints were also collected from the stairs of the building, the door handle of Jeh’s room and the door of the toilet.

      As per the police officials, the accused had tried to break into three houses before he entered Saif’s residence.
