Several Bengaluru-Bound Flights Diverted To Chennai Amid Heavy Rain; IndiGo Issues Advisory
IndiGo in a post on X said that unfavourable weather conditions in Bengaluru continue to impact flights.

At least 10 flights going to Bengaluru have been diverted to Chennai due to heavy rainfall, airport officials said. Passengers said that most roads to the airport are waterlogged. Flights post 6 pm have been delayed.
The Bengaluru traffic police said, “Due to heavy waterlogging at Hunsmaranahalli, there is severe traffic congestion, affecting the traffic towards the International Airport."

IndiGo in a post on X said that unfavourable weather conditions in Bengaluru continue to impact flights. The airline said, “We’re closely monitoring the weather and will keep you informed with timely updates."
Teams are closely monitoring the weather, and remain committed to resuming smooth and timely operations as soon as conditions improve, it said.

Air India Flights Impacted
Air India said its flight operations are impacted owing to air traffic congestion in Bengaluru.
“We advise all our passengers to check their flight status before proceeding to the airport," the airline said in a post on X.

An IndiGo staffer told News18, “Today’s delays are solely due to bad weather. Everything was fine till the afternoon, but heavy rain in the evening affected all flights for the day. Flights are scheduled on rotational basis… If one lot is affected, rest of the lots are also affected. We are working on the situation."
