Station Master Dies As Car Rolls Down 30-Feet Drain In Greater Noida
Locals report frequent accidents due to the road ending in an open drain. Authorities allegedly took no precautions. They installed barricades only after the police arrived

In a horrific accident in Greater Noida, a station master died when he drove his car down a 30-feet-deep drain near P-4 sector.
According to reports, the police, upon arriving at the scene, extracted the station master from the drain. He was immediately transported to the hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries. The authorities, with the assistance of a crane, later retrieved the car from the drain.

The deceased, Bharat Bhati, was a resident of Mandawali, Delhi, and was stationed at Manesar. According to his brother, Dilip Bhati, Bharat had called to say he was going to a wedding in Girdharpur, Greater Noida, but was having trouble with the directions. He had entered the location into a navigation app and was following the route guidance.
At the time of the incident, a delivery agent Saurav, who was present at the scene, reported that the accident occurred near the P-4 sector close to Kendriya Vihar 2 Society. He stated that he was standing nearby at approximately 2.30 pm when a car suddenly approached and drove directly into the drain.
“Google Maps shows a straight path here, whereas vehicles coming from the opposite direction have to make a U-turn. Because of this, oncoming vehicles cannot see what is ahead, and accidents happen here every day. If barricades had been erected, this accident could have been avoided. Previously, a motorcyclist also fell into the drain," Saurav said.
Bharat Bhati’s brother, Dilip Bhati, has blamed the authorities for the death. He said, “We are in trouble right now, but later we will demand action against the authority. Because there is no signboard here. Also, no barricading has been done."
Local residents report heightened danger in the area, citing daily accidents. The road, abruptly terminating, leads directly into an open drain. Authorities had allegedly made no prior safety provisions. The police arrived at the scene after the accident. Subsequently, they have erected barricades around the place.
