A tragic incident has unfolded near Bhuikot Killa, close to Ausa town in Maharashtra’s Latur district, where a brother and sister have drowned in a well. The devastating event has sent shockwaves through the community.
The siblings, identified as Alina Sameer Sheikh, aged five, and Usman Sameer Sheikh, aged three, were playing near the well on the afternoon of April 10, when they accidentally fell in and drowned.

The children’s parents, who work as labourers, began searching for them when they were not seen at home around 2 to 3 pm. Despite their efforts, the children were not found immediately. Tragically, their bodies were discovered in a nearby well during a search. Local residents assisted in retrieving the bodies from the well.
In a separate incident, the body of an unidentified person was found near the railway stone bridge of Bhusawal city in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon district. This discovery has also caused considerable concern in the area.
Upon receiving the information, Bhusawal city police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and transported it to the rural hospital. The circumstances surrounding the individual’s death remain unclear, and authorities are working to identify the deceased. The exact cause of death will be determined following the autopsy report.
